Steve Martocci
Founder, CEO
Steve Martocci originally had the vision of creating the digital version of the Live Strong bracelet and founded Sympact with the goal of making a "SYMpathetic imPACT". In order to do this, Steve contacted long time family friend and founder of the Gift of Life International, Robert Donno, as a starting point. Robbie later introduced Steve to Tony Bucci of MARC USA and the realization that Sympact's technology and the concept of syndicated web content could extend beyond non-profits became apparent. Steve has a long-term vision for the company and continues to motivate and manage the team to execute it. His previous experience includes being the founding member of the development team for MaxMD, the company that owns the .md top-level domain. Steve received his Bachelors of Science in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University. Since he was growing up in Manhasset NY he has always been an avid music fan and has traveled the country and world to see his favorite bands.
Elliott Blatt
Lead Developer
Elliott was born in Stamford, Connecticut during the Nixon adminstration. Although he has no fixed address, he can usually be found within a cloud of probablity spanning Cambridge, MA , Brooklyn, NY and San Francisco, CA. When not writing code, he's usually playing tennis. Elliott's goals are simple: develop great software, and a respectable backhand.
Lourens Van Der Jagt
Creative Director
Lourens is a wearer of many hats. Here at Sympact he is usually busy merging form with function using elegant standards compliant XHTML/CSS. He can also be found designing front end graphics and even doing a dash of project management and concept development. Outside the office he spends his time creating abstract digital artwork, practicing the Maori art of fire poi, snowboarding in the winter, and traveling the world whenever possible. Lourens is also an obsessive music lover, an obsession which ultimately led to his introduction to Steve & his involvement with Sympact. Other interests include Life, The Universe & Everything.
